Abstract
This work presents the analysis and design of a CMOS Capacitively Coupled Instrumentation Amplifier (CCIA) by means of the Cadence® Custom IC Design Tool in TSMC 0:18μm process. The amplifier has a gain of 40dB for frequencies up to 100Hz with ultra-low power consumption, in order to be suitable for portable health monitoring devices. The reduction of power consumption is achieved by biasing the MOSFETs of the circuit in subthreshold region. The Chopper Stabilization technique is introduced, to eliminate the noise in lower frequencies.
