Abstract
This work presents the design and implementation of a portable device capable of estimating blood pressure, by measuring the Pulse Transit Time. In order to measure this quantity, the device records and processes two biosignals: the photoplethysmogram and the phonocardiogram. The design and construction of the sensors, the analog and digital circuits and the PCB for the whole of the circuits, as well as the programming of the Microcontroller that is being used, are presented. Finally, an example of the device’s usage is documented.
